  • As you read this a "The White House" card with a three word sentiment and signature of John F. Kennedy is being offered on eBay for a bid of $700 or a "Buy It Now" price of $1,000.  The ebay item number is 261389626324.

The seller is listed as "franceskka14"  in the New York area and has no feedbacks.

This item comes with a full Letter of Authenticity with the usual signatures including Steve Grad. Grad is the one who states he uses electronic microscopes and other equipment to be able to be able to "sniff out the imitations".
    1353749?profile=original

Problem is the three word sentiment and signature of JFK is a printed facsimile. These cards do come on the market from time to time and on the verso of these cards are printed "This is a facsimile reproduction."

On this particular card some corrupt person/conservator has removed the statement and placed over the same area where the statement has been removed  a Seal of The President of the United States.

  • Fake NY Giant Game used at center of Lawsuit

    1353755?profile=original

So much for game used if these allegations prove to be accurate.  Pictured is sitting in the HOF and is suppose to be an Eli Manning Game Used Helmet from his 2008 superbowl.  Claims that NYG equipment manager, Joe Skibba, was involved with others in doctoring game used equipment.   Steiner Auctions, who at this time, are not involved in the scheme are alledged however to have sold many pieces thru their auctions to unwitting buyers.

    1353776?profile=original

according to the NY Post page 6's  Kaja Whitehouse

; Two-time Super Bowl MVP Manning took part in the scheme so he could hang on to his personal items, according to the documents.

The memorabilia ruse is so common among Giants players and staffers, the documents claim, that team equipment manager Joe Skiba openly discussed Manning’s fake game gear on an official Giants e-mail account.

The lawsuit emerged as Manning’s big brother, Peyton, prepares to lead the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday’s Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium, the Giants

  • Important Notice To The Autograph Community

Many collectors use a Post Office Box for receiving mail. Reason is, they may have a valuable autograph collection and don't want others to know where they live.  Some dealers and auction houses prefer to ship autographed items via United Parcel Service.  In the past, United Parcel Service would not ship a package to a Post Office Box, until now.

For those with Post Office Boxes and want to have UPS ship to your Post Office Box, obtain from your local Post Office a form "Customer Agreement for P.O. Box Service Enhancements."

With this new service, collectors have the option of using the street address of their Post Office location for your mailing address, in addition to your P.O. Box number.  When the application if filled out, you can then give the sender your name, Post Office Street SAddress and your P.O. Box number, city, state and zip code.

Some small Post Offices may not participate in this new service.

  • If You Were To Die Today...

...what would become of your collection? Would a family member or friend be able to gather, sort and preserve it, or offer it for sale, for a reasonable price?I thought about this recently I'm not even certain my family would know what to make of the stuff I've acquired. If they did get it together, they'd get pennies on the dollar.Even savy collectors require effort and patience to often simply break even. Not to say that that isn't true with many fields of collecting.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Just minutes before the start of the Indy 500, a few dozen racers hit the frontstretch at a considerably slower speed than the 33 cars that would follow. But they received at least as many cheers.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway reached out to the Boston Athletic Association, inviting people who were unable to finish the Boston Marathon because of the bombing last month. Non-finishers in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Illinois, 35 in all, came to IMS to run a ceremonial half-mile right before noon.

“We’re here having a lot of fun today. We were treated like dignitaries,” he said, “but there were a lot of people who were hurt in the bombings. And people died. We ran for them today. They couldn’t be here and we could so we ran for them.”

“The tragedy last month in Boston still resonates with everyone, so we wanted to give runners the chance to
